I really like this record, a lot. It is one that came up as suggested on North Mississipi All-stars Pandora channel. I stood out to me from all of the other suggestions, and I was compelled to buy it. I love the sounds, they all sit nicely in the mix. Air and space around everything yet the sounds overlap nicely and feel very live. So much so, that the live tracks on this bonus edition don't differ much frommthe studio tracks. I think that is a good thing . Really good playing as a band too. Ben Ringel vocals have just a hint of Terence Trent D'Arby among many others. However he is very much himself. Everyone's playing is rock solid. The drummer, Vincent "Footz" Williams stands out to me , as I am fan of a good drummer (I am a guitar player). Which leads me to the other players. Very cool hooky riffs that strike some familiarity yet, they are very much themselves too.Overall an awesome record in my opinion. Just a very cool real sounding band. It reminds me a little at times of Quaker City Nighthawks, but The Delta Saints are more complete. That may have some to do with the input of Eddie Spear (Third Man Records alum) who produced it.
