The common reedbuck is found in southern Africa. It is the largest of all the reedbuck varieties, weighing an average of 130lbs. They have a silky and almost woolly coat. As their name suggests, reedbucks feed on reeds as well as herbs and grasses. Their fervent need to drink water makes them a highly desired snack of crocodiles. If startled or attacked reedbucks stand still, which may explain why we have this specimen in our inventory.
