The Royal Cloak Pecten (Pecten pallium), also known as the Mantle Scallop, is a species of bivalve mollusk in the family Pectinidae. It is distinguished by its beautifully colored and patterned shell, which often features vivid hues of red, orange, yellow, and purple, resembling a regal cloak. The shell is fan-shaped, with radiating ridges and a slightly scalloped edge.
Royal Cloak Pectens are found in the Indo-Pacific region, inhabiting sandy and muddy substrates, typically in shallow waters near coral reefs. They are filter feeders, consuming plankton and other small particles suspended in the water.
As these are natural seashells they will have minor wear and variances.
