These are lab-grown specimens, but don't let that deter you. It takes a lot of skill, knowledge, and practice to grow crystals in a lab.
To grow Purple Alum Chrome Crystal in a lab, scientists would mix chemicals like aluminum and chromium with other salts. Then, they'd use a method called hydrothermal synthesis, where they heat the solution under high pressure in a sealed container to mimic natural conditions. As the solution cools, crystals form, with the purple color coming from the chromium. It takes a lot of control over the temperature, pressure, and chemicals to make sure the crystals grow the right way. Overall, it's a tricky process with a lot of different ways to mess it up. These crystals are the product of years of dedication and practice. Pretty cool if we do say so ourselves.
Purple Alum Chrome Crystal in the natural world is a rare, vibrant mineral known for its striking purple color, which is caused by the presence of chromium in its chemical structure. It typically forms as small, well-formed crystals that may be found in specific geological environments, often associated with other aluminum and chromium-based minerals.
All crystals and minerals vary slightly in size and shape. You will receive a high quality specimen of the selected item but not the exact one pictured.
