Kerrang describes songs from this album as "Big Hook Laden, Roots Rock Vibin', Bass Line Thumpin', Funky-ass Alternative Rock." Metal Exiles says, "...talkin' 'bout Page riffs, Chili Pepper Funk, and a dose of your favorite Jam band." KNAC declares it is "Funkadelic, Pure-Rock". Review "Lighten My Load", "Monkey Boy", "In Deep", "What s It To Ya" and "One Time Or Another" are recommended listening... -- Peter Schoonooghe - http://www.rockreport.be..if you appreciate bands like [Rolling Stones, The Black Crows, but a few steps further], this band is for you. -- Jeffrey Easton, Metal-ExilesGravy are not just a casual throw-back to a classic era but they time-travel with respect and admiration. -- Todd Smith, THE CUTTING EDGEThe same kind of chemistry that bands like Gov't Mule or Cry Of Love have. -- ALL ACCESS MAGAZINEThe songs were about everyday living which to me is what songs should be about. -- Mr. E Boy (Mark Englert of Dramarama) About the Artist The group features singer/songwriter and guitarist Mark Knight. After the original line up of Bang Tango had sold close to a combined million records, and then disbanded in the early 90's, Knight moved back to Malibu and launched his musical evolution by getting back to his musical roots and writing songs which reflected his influences from great 70’s bands such as Led Zeppelin and The Rolling Stones. Knight would soon hook up with guitarist Mark Tremalgia who shared Knight’s vision to form a band whose sole purpose was to play music from their hearts, simply for the sake of playing music. Mark Knight also invited keyboardist Erik Szabo to bring his Hammond B-3 to the project to perfect the old school classic rock sound which had been missing from the music scene for so long. The search for the perfect rhythm section for this band led to Bass player Rocc Thomas, who was producing tracks for several MCA artists when he got the call from former band mate Mark Tremalgia. Mark T. invited Rocc for a special jam session at the Malibu Inn where it was obvious he was the man for the job. The final role was filled by drummer Jon Biggs whose solid groovin’ rock style reminiscent of Jon Bonham was a perfect fit for the band. After playing several shows during a residence at a local Malibu club, the band decided to record a couple of tracks, and endeavor which resulted in their 15 song release entitled "Bones". See more

I had the fortune to see these guys play on October 9th in Canoga Park. Their live show was outstanding the music was soulful, tight, powerful, funky and lots of fun. On stage the sound was so good you might have thought you were in a studio. If you like that great rock sound well delivered you should buy this album.
