Toads are often mixed up with frogs and sometimes even thought to be that same thing but the fact is that toads are a very unique species; with great differences to it's friend the frog. While toads and frogs are biologically the same there are some key differences between them such as toads are associated with a drier, wart-covered, leathery skin, and shorter legs than frogs. They also can live further away from water and in some cases without a body of water. Toads do not have many predators. Their skin lets out a bitter taste and smell that burns the eyes and nostrils of its predators, much like a skunk does. In the animal kingdom, it pays to taste horrible.
