Polychrome Jasper, also known as Desert Jasper, is a variety of Jasper recently discovered in Madagascar. In 2008 while exploring for more deposits of the highly desired Ocean Jasper, the first deposit of Polychrome was accidentally discovered. Interesting to note is that all material must be hand dug due to the difficult terrain and conditions.
