Cetoniidae is a family of beetles known as flower chafers or fruit chafers, belonging to the subfamily Cetoniinae. Torynorrhina flammea also includes a green morph, commonly referred to as the Green Torynorrhina. This variation is noted for its vibrant green coloration, which is a key distinguishing feature.
