Description

0.5-1"

Upper Cretaceous (70 million year old) and are commonly found near phosphate deposits near Khouribga, Morocco.

Sold Individually

As a lamniform shark, Squalicorax likely had a similar appearance to the modern Great White shark. It is confirmed to have eaten dinosaurs, with evidence found in the metatarsal (foot bone) of a hadrosaurid containing a Squalicorax tooth. The prevailing belief is that the dinosaur was washed out to sea and scavenged by a Squalicorax that likely detected its scent in the water. Any creature that feeds on dinosaurs is automatically placed in our "impressive" category.
