Our chihuahua mix loves these dental chews. She makes a game out of it and throws them around before going in for the kill. It takes her a few minutes to finish one, which is to say that these treats are more substantial than others that she gets down in one or two bites. On top of the enjoyment she digests them perfectly well. We will continue to keep these stocked in our household!The taste is dog approved.We give our 11 lb pomapoo half of a small bone in the morning and half at night. No more bad breath.We use a number of supplements from Dr. Mercola who we really trust for safe healthy ingredients. His products are the best out there.I give these to my miniature Doxie. He loves them and they keep his teeth clean. In fact, the vet was so impressed when she did his last dental cleaning, that she asked me what I was doing for his teeth. This is the only thing I use as he is sooooo stubborn and won't let us brush his teeth or do anything else. Believe me when I say that I have tried everything possible. So, grateful for these dental bones!I like the fact that they are a healthy bone for them . Other chew bones would make them sick . These are wonderful and they love them .Loved the product . However my miniature poodle did not . The first one he almost finished but since then he had no interest . He sniffs it and walks away.Theses dental bones were a hit with the dogs especially my pug Jack who is very picky with treats in general. He started chewing on the dental bone right away. My golden retriever Ezra finished it in minutes! As well as Frankie my mom’s pug also. I bought the large because the large aren’t that for small dog and not big enough for large dogs . Only the part of the bone left for Jack was the end and I took it away so he wouldn’t choke on it. It did help freshen his breath a lot ! It’s a great value If you have several dogs. I wish the dental treats lasted longer than a few minutes. Safe ingredients and not too thick for small mouths. I will order again!I have whippets. I purchased the large size and expected it to take a considerable amount of chewing time to chew up. The idea being that the chewing action plus contents of the bone would grind against the teeth thus helping to clean the tartar from the teeth and keep clean. My dogs ate the bones in about three cruches with the exception of one dog who would not touch it after one lick. If the dogs can crunch and swallow in app. three bites the bones are useless.
