Clemmys reevesii
The earliest known turtle remains date from 220 million years ago, making them one of the oldest reptile groups. Their shell has evolved to contain around 60 bones which include portions of the ribs and backbone. That means a turtle can't ever escape its shell. The complex structure is articulated beautifully in this specimen and you can be sure it won't be able to escape your collection either. These are real bones and Mother Nature will provide slight variances from one to the next.
