a fantastic anime, that was underrated when released by the equally excellent Erased, this sin't an anime for younger audiences (12A/PG13 would be a better guideline) aimed at a more older audience not because of the nature of the anime but simply because the hidden subtext and nuance would be missed by a younger audience . this truly is great anime script writing powerhouse that deserves a second season.,this anime follows a watson (played by shotaro tatewaki) meets holmes story with a twist. the beautiful sakurako kujo who at first appears more femme fatale more interested in the macabre that though her work hides a brilliant mind fascinated by the intricate beauty formed in life story of any creatures bones (seems to have missed her calling as the chief coroner if you ask me) whose awkwardness and slightly scary nature meets shotaro tatewaki (a down to earth highschool student equally smart but more approachable) who overlooks her obsession forms a deep and meaningful relationship, with Sakurako unphased by seeing someones elses corpse that sees that even in the worst possible moments of other peoples life, senses that something may be more than it seems. and that in some cases a true moriarty though brainwashing and intrigue and insidious means my actually be leading others to there deaths before they realise.kadokawa really know how to produce a great piece of work, this is the sort of anime that draws you in making each episode fly-by, you really think to yourself maybe this could be a really good drama series if longer, sound isn't exactly dynamic but animation is top notch, others may complain that its not in english, but in some cases the vocal talents are so go you simply don't care the only negative point I would say is this pressing is devoid of any extras bar a clean opening and closing screen, if you like to think a little with your anime you won't be disappointed
